It was a cold and rainy morning at DC Everest High School for the Warriors' second game of the weekend. An already short bench due to injuries was cut even shorter because of ACT testing, which claimed the Warriors' two starting center midfielders. Due to the weather, and the lack of substitutes the coaches agreed on shortening the game to 30 minute halves.

The wet turf neutralized all of the comfort the Warriors had gained on the turf field the day before, and passing was difficult for them. Through balls sailed far out of bounds. For the most part, the first half was relatively even, and neither team was able to get great looks at goal. However, the Red Raiders of Pulaski were able to free a foot and get a long shot off, that sailed just over the Warrior keeper's head, giving the Red Raiders a 1-0 lead. Not much changed after this goal. Both teams still struggled to maintain possession or get good opportunities. Then, the Red Raiders got a free kick about 30 yards in front of goal, that sailed into the top of the net.

Down 0-2 at halftime, the Warriors focused mainly on getting warm for their short 5 minute break. It seemed to work a little, because in the second half the Warriors were able to string some passes together, and get some offense going. The ball was kept in the Red Raider half for much of the 2nd half, with keeper Katya Statz only seeing the ball a couple times. The Warriors also got a couple free kicks in front of goal that were taken by Macie Maulbetsch and Jada Dayne. Both placed their shots well on frame, but the Pulaski keeper was able to stop them.

With the loss the Warriors fall to 2-1-0. They play Monday at 7pm against Middleton at Warrior Stadium.
